Origin and history

The Priory and the chapel of the former Notre-Dame de Grace convent, located in Tullins (Isère), dates back to the seventeenth century. This site, classified as Historic Monument, illustrates the religious architecture of the period, with protected elements such as the entrance door of the convent and the facade of the chapel, inscribed in 1963. The chapel itself received a supplementary inscription in July 2024, covering its entire area on the cadastral plot AR 732.

The location of the monument at 12 rue du Couvent is attested by the Merimée bases and GPS coordinates, although the accuracy of this location is considered "passable" (note 5/10). The site is now shared between a private property and the municipality of Tullins, without the sources specifying its current accessibility (visits, rental, accommodation).

The successive protections reflect the heritage importance of the place: the vantals of the entrance door and the chapel gate, dated the seventeenth century, are material testimonies of its history. Available photographs, such as Jvillafruela's Creative Commons license, document its current state, while cadastral data (section H 538, 540 and AR 732) specify its right of way.
