The Saint-Pierre de Cheftimes church is a Catholic building located in the eponymous commune of the Vendée department in the Pays de la Loire region. Its initial construction dates back to the 13th century, a period marked by the development of parish churches in rural areas. The building illustrates medieval religious architecture, with characteristics peculiar to small communes in western France.

In the 15th century, the church underwent major changes under the impetus of Jehan Rouhault, a notable local. In 1468, the latter financed the addition of a northern collateral to house his burial. This extension is accompanied by the development of fire chambers at the top of the northern foothills, partially transforming the building into a defensive location. These military elements reflect the disturbances of the time, including the conflicts related to the Hundred Years War that still affect certain regions.

Saint-Pierre Church is classified as a historic monument by order of 17 May 1982, recognizing its heritage value. This classification protects the entire building, including its unique defensive elements for a church in this area. The property now belongs to the commune of Cheftimes, which ensures its preservation.
