L'Espace muséographique du Pont-du-Gard is a cultural site located in the commune of Vers-Pont-du-Gard. This place was designed to accompany the visit of the Pont-du-Gard, a Roman aqueduct classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, offering visitors keys to historical, technical and archaeological understanding. It explores the history of this ancient engineering masterpiece, built in the 1st century after.
J.C., and its role in the water supply of the city of Nîmes. The monument surrounding this museum space is part of a territory marked by a strong Roman presence.
