Facades and roofs (Case B 901): inscription by decree of 18 January 1967
Origin and history
The building in Rennes, at the corner of Corbin Street and Trassart Street, is a 17th century historical monument. It consists of two buildings in return of square, preceded by a courtyard, and presents a structure in wood panels coated with stone chains in front. The Mansart-style blanket is supported by a modillon cornice, while inside, a wrought iron ramp and old panelling are preserved. A garden spread north of the hotel, and the old stables and sheds were located at No. 2 of Trassart Street.
The building, dated the seventeenth century, was partially protected by an order of 18 January 1967, covering facades and roofs. The official address recorded in the Mérimée base is 3 rue de Corbin, although GPS coordinates suggest a nearby location at 10 rue de Corbin. The accuracy of this location is considered fair, with a score of 5 out of 10.
No information is available about opening to the public, visiting, or any current use as room rental or guest rooms. The sources mention only Monumentum data and internal archives, without details of the owners or specific historical uses of the building.
