La Maison du Prévôt de Saint-Michel is an emblematic dwelling located in the commune of Saint-Michel, in the department of Aisne, in the Hauts-de-France region. This monument, built in the 16th century, illustrates the brick architecture characteristic of the Thierache, a region where this type of defensive construction developed from this period. Its name evokes an administrative or judicial function, although the sources available do not allow to specify the exact origin.

The House of the Provost was listed as historical monuments by order of 17 August 2001. This classification reflects its heritage value, particularly as a rare example of a 16th century dwelling in this region. The house, owned by the municipality, is representative of the local buildings of the period, combining defensive elements with a brick aesthetic, typical material of the Thierache.
