The Town Hall of Châteauvillain is a civil building built during the 4th quarter of the 18th century, in the Greater East region. This building, typical of the municipal architecture of the period, is distinguished by its facade and roof, protected by a registration order of 28 April 1938. It embodies the central role of local institutions in the administrative and social organization of small towns under the Old Regime.

The monument is attributed to LANCRET, identified as a masterpiece in the archives.
