Origin and history

This building, listed as a Historic Monument, is located at 1 rue de la Treille in Clermont-Ferrand. Built in the 18th century, it preserves a facade decorated with rock-style ironwork, characteristic of this period. Despite subsequent changes, such as the replacement of the huisseries and the disappearance of window supports on the upper floors, the pronounced movement of the facade still bears witness to its origin.

The protected elements include the street façade as well as the stairwell with its 18th century ironwork, inscribed by order of 11 June 1990. These architectural details, although partially altered, offer an overview of decorative techniques and styles in vogue in the 18th century Auvergne.
