Origin and history

The Château Ripert is a historical monument located in Valréas, in the department of Vaucluse, in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region. This castle, whose location is considered satisfactory (note 6/10), has been fully protected since 2024, including its tower, polygonal enclosure and archaeological remains of the soils. It is located in Place Pie, in the heart of the commune, and is in the cadastre under plots 778, 779 and 780.

The building, owned by the commune of Valréas, is the subject of an inscription under the title of Historical Monuments by order of 14 November 2024. The protected elements cover the entire structure, as well as the soils and their remains, emphasizing its heritage importance. No information is available on its current use (visits, rental, accommodation) or its history prior to this protection.
