Origin and history

Château de Châtillon-la-Borde is a historic monument located in the commune of Châtillon-la-Borde, Île-de-France. Built in the 16th century, it is representative of the architecture of this period, although little detailed information about its history or owners is available from current sources. The dovecote, a remarkable part of the estate, was listed as a Historic Monument by order of February 16, 1987, highlighting its heritage interest.

These buildings often symbolized seigneurial power and were used for practical purposes, such as pigeon breeding, reserved for the nobility or landowners.
