The Manoir de la Guyardière is a building located in the municipality of Domfront-en-Poraire, Normandy. It is located 1.25 km northeast of the village of La Haute-Chapelle and 1.7 km north of the city centre of Domfront, in the department of Orne. This monument is characterized by an architecture including a doorway, a corner tower, a house, a courtyard of honour surrounded by walls, as well as moat.
The remarkable elements of the mansion, such as the access avenue, facades, roofs, the courtyard of honour and its fence walls, as well as the moat and its walls, were listed as historical monuments on 14 September 1992. This protection reflects the heritage importance of the site, although its detailed history and exact origins are not specified in available sources.
The mansion is part of a Norman landscape marked by a medieval and rural history. Such manor houses often served as residences for local lords or wealthy families, playing a central role in the social and economic organization of the region. Their architecture generally reflected the status of their owners and their integration into the surrounding territory.
