Origin and history

Moimay Farm is an emblematic rural building located in the municipality of the same name, in Haute-Saône. Built in the 18th century, it represents a typical example of the farms of this period in Burgundy-Franche-Comté. Its architecture and interior elements, such as fireplaces, panelling and stairs, reflect the techniques and agricultural lifestyle of the time.

The farm was listed as historical monuments by order of 2 October 1986. This protection includes its facades, roofs, as well as specific interior elements such as the wooden fireplace, wall cupboards and vestiges of lava cover. These details highlight the heritage importance of the site, both for its architecture and its role in local history.

Located at 1 Place de la Bascule, Moimay's farm is a testimony of the 18th century rural social and economic organization. At that time, farms played a central role in community life, serving both as a place of agricultural production and as a home for peasant families. Their preservation now makes it possible to better understand the living conditions and agricultural practices of the time.
