Mirabeau - Politician and speaker Lived in the hotel in 1789.

Origin and history

The Old Hague Hotel, located at 1 rue Caumartin in the 9th arrondissement of Paris, is a building built in two phases: the second half of the 18th century and the third quarter of the 19th century. Its facades and the decoration of its circular salon were inscribed in the Historical Monuments by order of 19 October 1927, highlighting their heritage value.

The hotel is particularly known for hosting Mirabeau in 1789, emblematic figure of the French Revolution. This aristocratic residence, transformed over the centuries, reflects the architectural and social evolutions of Paris between the Ancien Régime and the Second Empire.

Today, the Old Hague Hotel is located at a prestigious address, between Caumartin Street and Madeleine Boulevard, in an area marked by the political and cultural history of the capital. Its location, noted as "passable" in terms of precision, makes it a discreet but significant witness to the Parisian heritage.
