Origin and history
The Old Hotel du Parc, located in Montréjeau in Haute-Garonne (Occitanie), is a passenger hotel built in the second half of the 19th century. This building is distinguished by its central atrium plan covered with a glass roof, an architecture typical of the luxury hotels of the time. It has retained original elements, such as its staircase combined with a system of distribution galleries and a furniture and decorative set representative of the 19th century style.
Ranked among the Historical Monuments, the hotel was partially protected by order of 23 November 2005. This decree covers the facades and roofs of the hotel and its outbuilding on garden, as well as the interior volume of the atrium, including the passage through the ground floor and the distribution corridors on the floors. The property is now shared between a private part and a communal part, without the sources specifying its current use (visits, rental, accommodation).
The official address recorded in the Merimée base is Valentin-Abeille square in Montréjeau, although GPS coordinates suggest an approximate location in the 22nd of the same place. The accuracy of this location is assessed as fair (note 5/10), indicating a margin of uncertainty as to its exact location. No additional information is available on any owners, architects or major events related to the hotel in the sources consulted.
