Pavilion and gardens surrounding it: inscription by decree of 16 November 1949

Origin and history

The Pavillon de Bidaine is a historic monument located in Lambesc, in the Bouches-du-Rhône department, in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region. This pavilion, accompanied by the surrounding gardens, was inscribed under the title of Historical Monuments by an order dated 16 November 1949. Although its exact construction period is not specified in available sources, its architecture and inscription suggest a recognized heritage significance.

In the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, pavilions and properties of this type were often linked to bourgeois residences or agricultural estates. In Lambesc, as in other Provencal communes, these buildings reflected the lifestyle of local elites or landowners at the turn of the 20th century. Their preservation, like that of the Bidaine Pavilion, bears witness to the attachment to an architectural and landscape heritage characteristic of the region.
