Origin and history

Inchy's old terminal is a historic monument located in the department of the North, in the Hauts-de-France region. Ranked by ministerial decree in 1936, it is precisely at the crossing of departmental road 39 and the vicinal road from Troisvilles to Biastres. Its exact location, 111 National Road in Inchy (code INSEE 59321), makes it a notable geographical and heritage landmark in this rural town.

Old terminals, such as Inchy's, were generally installed to mark territorial boundaries, distances or important routes. In the context of Hauts-de-France, a region marked by a dense road and commercial history, these monuments played a key role in the organization of travel and exchanges. Their preservation makes it possible today to trace the evolution of the old networks and the strategic importance of the communication axes in this part of France.
