Origin and history
The camp of César de Jabreilles-les-Bordes is a quadrilateral enclosure dating from the Iron Age, located in the Haute-Vienne department, in the commune of Jabreilles-les-Bordes. This archaeological site, located at the so-called Bois-Taillis, bears witness to the defensive constructions of this period in Limousin (now New Aquitaine). Its name "Camp of Caesar" evokes a local tradition often assigning this type of remains to Roman times, although its construction dates back to the Iron Age.
