Origin and history

The house in Troyes, in the Aube department in the Grand Est region, is a historic monument whose remarkable elements – facades and roofs overlooking Mole and Champeaux streets – were protected by an inscription order in 1928. Its official address, 8 rue Molé, and its approximate location at 9 rue Champeaux make it an architectural landmark of the city centre, although the accuracy of its geolocation is considered mediocre (level 5/10). Such houses, often built between the Middle Ages and the 19th century in cities like Troyes, reflect urban evolution and local construction techniques.
