Origin and history

The Château de Vignes, located in Sault-de-Navailles in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques, is a 17th century building. It consists of a central house body framed by pavilions, typical of the classical architecture of this period. Its inscription as Historic Monument in 1996 protects its facades, roofs and a large living room with a monumental fireplace.

In the 19th century, a neo-Gothic addition was added against the posterior facade, including a stair tower. This mix of styles reflects the architectural changes and aesthetic tastes of successive owners. The castle, although partially protected, retains emblematic elements of its original era.

The location of the castle, specified by GPS coordinates and an approximate address (1202 Route de Bonnegarde), is considered satisfactory. It is part of the historic landscape of New Aquitaine, a region marked by a rich built heritage. No information is available on its current use (visits, rentals, accommodation).
