Origin and history
The Notre-Dame de Liscorno chapel, located in Lannebert in the Côtes-d'Armor, has its origins in the 14th century. A primitive chapel, dating from this period, was almost entirely destroyed by fire. This sinister event marked a turning point in the history of the site, requiring a complete reconstruction of the building.
The reconstruction of the chapel took place in the eighteenth century, giving it the aspect we know it today. This religious monument, typical of the Breton architecture of the period, was erected in the territory of the municipality of Lannebert. Its local importance is attested by its listing as historical monuments by order of 28 December 1963.
Apart from the chapel itself, the inscription to the historical monuments also includes its calvary and placister, forming a coherent and representative ensemble of Breton religious heritage. The chapel is now owned by the municipality of Lannebert, emphasizing its place in local life and its role in preserving the architectural and cultural history of the region.
