Origin and history

Saint-Nicolas Chapel is a religious building located in the commune of Gausson, in the Côtes-d'Armor department, Brittany. It is distinguished by its architecture and its interior heritage, including a painted wooden statue of Sainte-Blanche dating from the seventeenth century, classified as a historical monument. This type of chapel, typical of the Breton landscape, often served as a place of worship and assembly for local inhabitants, reflecting the religious and community life of the time.

The chapel was listed as a historical monument by order of 6 February 1926, reflecting its heritage importance. Today it belongs to the municipality of Gausson.
