Origin and history

The chapel Sainte-Brigitte is a religious building located in the hamlet of the Mirror, on the commune of Sainte-Foy-Tarentaise, in Savoie. This monument, whose location is estimated as fair (level 5/10), was included in the inventory of Historic Monuments by order of 3 April 1992. Today it belongs to the commune and is located at a specific address: 6168 Le Miroir, in the department of Savoie, in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.

Hamlet chapels, like Sainte-Brigitte, often played a central role in the life of Alpine rural communities. They served as a place of worship, a gathering for local festivals, and sometimes as a geographical landmark in remote mountain areas.
