Origin and history

The chapel Sainte-Philomene de Montmaur is a religious building located in the commune of Montmaur in the Hautes-Alpes department (05). It is located south of the village, near the national road 94, in a rural setting marked by the landscapes of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region. This monument, though modest, bears witness to local architecture and devotion.

Listed on the inventory of Historic Monuments by decree of 29 November 1948, this chapel illustrates the importance of small religious buildings in Provencal villages.
