Origin and history
Lineau Castle is a historic monument located in the commune of Gréoux-les-Bains, in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence department. This estate is distinguished by its architecture and its exterior fittings, including terraces, a dovecote, a hydraulic network with a water mine, basins, a washhouse, and an alley of plane trees. These elements, combined with agricultural buildings, gate, fence walls and stairs, form a coherent and protected whole.
The castle was listed as a Historic Monument by an order dated 24 November 2023. This protection covers the entire area, including the facades and roofs of the stable, as well as the floor of the plots concerned. The precise location of the domain is indicated on a plan annexed to the decree, with a blue shade specifically designating the protected stable.
