Origin and history

Poulan Castle is a building located in the commune of Poulan-Pouzols, in the Occitan region. The available sources do not specify its exact origin or period of construction, which makes it a monument whose history remains partially unknown. The castles of this region, often linked to feudal history or local agricultural activities, played a central role in the social and economic organization of rural territories.

In Occitanie, these buildings could serve as seigneurial residences, defence sites or administrative centres for the surrounding communities.
