Château des Guées de Pierres en Mayenne

Origin and history

Château des Guées de Pierres is a building located in the municipality of Livet, in the Pays de la Loire region. The available sources do not specify its exact origin or period of construction, which makes it a monument whose history remains partially unknown. Castles in this region, often linked to feudal history or rural architecture, could be used as seigneurial residences, defence sites or agricultural centres.

In Livet, as in other municipalities in the Pays de la Loire, these monuments generally reflect the way of life and social structures of their time, marked by a rural economy and local power networks.
