Origin and history

Château Florin is a building located in the commune of Croix, in the Hauts-de-France region. The internal data mention it as a monument, but no precision is provided on its architectural nature, its construction period or its historical use. Its existence is attested, but its exact role in local heritage is not detailed in the sources consulted.

In the Hauts-de-France, monuments of this type, when ancient, often reflect the industrial or residential history of the region. Croix, close to cities like Roubaix or Lille, experienced a development marked by textile and commercial activities in the 19th and 20th centuries. The castles or large houses were sometimes linked to bourgeois families or industrialists, but there is no information to confirm this context for the Château Florin.
