Origin and history

Château Sainte-Roseline is a wine estate located on an argilo-calcar terroir operated since the fourteenth century. Owned by an abbey, it became one of the first vineyards of Provence thanks to the intervention of the bishop of Fréjus, future Pope John XXII, who wanted to develop wine production. The site then passes into the hands of the Barons de Rasque de Laval, consolidating its status as an emblematic wine estate.

In 1955, the estate obtained the title of classified wine from Provence, recognizing the quality of its wines. In 1994, Bernard Teillaud, a Grenoblois real estate developer, bought the castle from the Rasque de Laval family and began its restoration with architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte. The oenological activity is modernized under his direction, then under that of his daughter Aurélie Bertin-Teillaud, who took over in 2007.

The commercial management of the domain evolves in 2013 with the creation of Roseline Diffusion, an entity based in Luxembourg to optimize sales tax. This structure, chaired by GBTI, reduces taxation to 18%. In 2013, sales reached EUR 11,752 million, illustrating the economic importance of the area in the region.
