Origin and history

Stoppielle Castle is a monument located in Centuri, Corsica, built in the second half of the 19th century. This building illustrates the architectural features of this period in the region, marked by both local and continental influences. At this time, Corsica is undergoing economic and social transformation, with the development of bourgeois infrastructure and residences.

The castles and large houses of this time often reflect the social status of their owners and the cultural exchanges between Corsica and the continent.
