Origin and history
Saint-Pierre-ès-Liens Church is a Catholic religious building located in the commune of Joncreuil, in the Aube department, in the Grand Est region. Its construction spans centuries, with elements dating back to the 12th, 13th and 18th centuries, thus reflecting various architectural influences peculiar to these periods. It is representative of the local architectural and spiritual heritage, typical of the rural churches of Champagne.
The building was listed as historic monuments by order of November 9, 1988, thereby recognizing its heritage value. This protection covers the entire church, identified under Cadastre B 59, and reflects its importance in the cultural and religious landscape of the region. The administration of the church is the responsibility of the municipality of Joncreuil, which ensures its preservation and maintenance.
