Origin and history

Kerahmanez Manor House, located in Quimper, Finistère, is an iconic building of the late Renaissance, built between the 16th and 17th centuries. It is distinguished by its refined architecture, integrated into a large square courtyard closed by an ogival gate, with a central well. This type of provision reflects the importance attached to the symmetry and harmony of spaces during this period, while serving as a framework for local seigneurial and agricultural life.

Ranked a Historic Monument, the mansion was protected by order of 26 December 2016. This protection covers not only the main building, but also the facades and roofs of the communes, the soil of the surrounding plots, as well as the fence walls of the orchard and property. These elements underline the heritage importance of the ensemble, which combines noble habitat, utility outbuildings and landscaped spaces, typical of the great Breton estates of the period.

The precise address of the mansion, 76 Roman Way in Quimper, is listed in the Merimée base under the code Insee 29232, confirming its anchor in the Finistère. Although the GPS location is considered "passable" (note of 5/10), available sources, such as Monumentum, provide evidence of its existence and present state. No information is provided on its accessibility to the public, whether it be visits, room rental or accommodation.
