Origin and history

The Dolmens of Lann Toulvern, also called dolmens from the tip of Toulvern, are two megalithic monuments located in Baden, Morbihan. They date from the Neolithic and are located in a wood south of the point of Toulvern, about 340 meters southwest of the dolmen of Mané-Ven-Guen. These partially preserved funeral structures are composed of blanket slabs based on dry stone walls, with corridors and circular chambers.

The first dolmen, in the north, still has three slabs partially covering a 5.5-metre-long corridor and a 2.2-metre-diameter-diameter chamber. The second, to the south, has only one slab, with a corridor of 4 meters and a room of 2.5 meters. The two dolmens, in poor condition, are included in a tumulus still partially visible. They were registered as historical monuments by order of 24 July 2023.

Dolmens and their tumulus, as well as the soil of plots ZW 39 and ZW 40, are protected as an archaeological reserve. The property is shared between the Morbihan department and private owners. Their precise location is indicated as the 4 path of the sleeping wood in Baden, with a cartographic accuracy considered fair (level 5).
