Origin and history
The church of Milhaguet is a religious building located in the commune of Marval, Haute-Vienne, in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. This monument, whose location is considered satisfactory a priori, has been included in the inventory of Historic Monuments since February 6, 1926. It now belongs to the municipality and forms part of the local architectural and cultural heritage.
The Limousin region, now integrated into New Aquitaine, was historically marked by a rural and artisanal economy. Churches, like Milhaguet, played a central role in community life, serving as a place of worship, assembly and identity for the inhabitants. Their preservation reflects the importance attached to collective memory and the heritage built in these territories.
