Origin and history

The Church of Our Lady of the Assumption of Halsou is a religious building located in the commune of Halsou in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. Its origins date back to the first quarter of the 16th century, when it was probably built or deeply transformed. This monument illustrates the religious architecture of this period, marked by late Gothic or renaissant influences, depending on the regions.

During the third quarter of the 18th century, the church underwent major alterations or renovations.
