Origin and history

Saint-Grégoire Church is a Catholic church located in Lanrivain, Côtes-d'Armor department, Brittany. It has been classified as historical monuments since 1931, especially for its porch. This ranking reflects its architectural and historical importance in the region.

One of the outstanding elements of this church is its ossuary, dating back to the 15th century. It is one of the few Breton ossuary to have preserved the bones of the dead, unlike the majority of them, emptied between the 19th and 20th centuries. This ossuary, along with that of Trégornan, offers a valuable testimony of medieval funeral practices in Brittany.

The church is located in the municipality of Lanrivain, whose Insee code is 22115, and depends on the region of Saint-Brieuc. Its approximate address is 1 Impasse dated 19 March 1962. The location is estimated with average accuracy (level 5/10).
