Origin and history

The Mulots in Orval is an industrial monument located in the town of Orval, Normandy. This type of structure was generally dedicated to the production of lime, a material essential for construction, agriculture or metallurgy. Their presence is evidence of local economic activity linked to the exploitation of natural resources, such as limestone, which is abundant in some regions.
