Origin and history

The Hotel de Lastic is a private hotel located in Saint-Flour, in the Cantal department, in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. Built in the 17th century, it originally belonged to the Lastic family and extended between Sorel Street and College Street. This monument consists of two houses separated by an inner courtyard, where there is a chapel and a typical baluster gallery of the period.

The Hotel de Lastic has been partially protected as historical monuments since 23 June 1947. Listed elements include the street façade, the courtyard, as well as a 17th century stone staircase. The inner courtyard, with its baluster gallery, and the chapel bear witness to the aristocratic architecture of this period.

Today, the Hotel de Lastic remains a remarkable example of Saint-Flour's civil architectural heritage. Although some parts may have evolved or disappeared, its original structure and its preserved decorative elements offer a glimpse of the life of noble families in the Haute-Auvergne in the 17th century.
