Origin and history

The Hotel Digaultray des Landes is a mansion built in 1722 in Quintin, in the Côtes-d的Armor, by François Digaultray des Landes, trading in linen. This building illustrates the economic expansion of the city in the 18th century, with the installation of bourgeois houses on the outskirts of the medieval center. Together, including house, common and terraced garden, forms a characteristic alignment along St. Thurian Street.

Interior preserves 18th-century woodwork, and the property, listed as historic monuments since 2016, includes a courtyard, garden and outbuildings ( stables, garage, stake). Its architecture reflects the social status of its sponsor, linked to the web trade, a major activity of the region at that time.

The official protection covers the whole house, the facades and roofs of the outbuildings, as well as the exterior spaces (courtyard, garden, fence walls). The exact address, 3-7 rue Saint-Thurian, is referenced in the Mérimée database under the code Insee 22262, attached to the commune of Quintin in Brittany.
