Origin and history

The building located at 22 rue Saint-Sauveur in the 2nd arrondissement of Paris dates from the 1st quarter of the 18th century. It consists of a report building overlooking the street and a private hotel organised between a courtyard and a garden. This type of architecture reflects the Parisian urbanism of the period, mixing rental housing and bourgeois residence in the same whole.

The protected elements include the facades and roofs of buildings on street and courtyard, as well as the check-pass, the courtyard floor and a cellar with wells. These protections were formalized by a registration order under the Historic Monuments on 3 November 1994. The exact address, confirmed by the Merimée base and GPS coordinates, corresponds to the Insee code 75102 of the municipality of Paris.

The location of the building is considered to be "passible" (note 5/10), according to Monumentum criteria. No information is available on its current accessibility to the public, including visits, room rental or accommodation. Sources are limited to Monumentum data and associated internal archives.
