Origin and history
Sant'Appiano de Sagone Cathedral, located in the municipality of Vico in Corsica, dates from the 12th century. This religious monument, now partly in ruins, is a typical example of medieval Corsican architecture. It was listed as a Historic Monument by order of 4 September 1989, stressing its heritage importance.
The remains of this ancient cathedral, also known as Saint Appien Cathedral, are located on the cadastre under reference A 192. The site is currently owned by a private company.
