Origin and history

The house at 8 rue du Headquarters in Sarlat-la-Canéda is a historic monument built in the 14th century. This building, typical of the medieval architecture of the region, is distinguished by its facade and roof on street, protected by an inscription order dated 28 April 1944. These architectural elements reflect the techniques and styles in force at the time in southwestern France.

Sarlat-la-Canéda, located in the Dordogne in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, was a dynamic city in the Middle Ages, marked by intense commercial and artisanal activity.
