Origin and history
The Maison Pierret, located in Pulligny in the Great East, is a civil building dating mainly from the 14th and 16th centuries. It is distinguished by its three-span structure, the right one of which was added in the 18th century. The central span, typical of the 16th century, preserves two sill and cross-section windows, as well as a 15th century door. The older left span has a window from the 15th century to the second floor, while the first level has been re-entered later.
The house underwent notable modifications in the 18th century, including the addition of an entire span to the right and the reperceived of some openings on the ground floor. Despite these transformations, medieval architectural elements remain, such as a door and a lintel window in the 15th century. The appentis on the right span, unrestored, also bears witness to its architectural evolution.
Classified as a Historical Monument by decree of 29 October 1926, Maison Pierret illustrates the evolution of urban dwellings between the Middle Ages and the modern era. Its inscription protects its elements from the fourteenth, fifteenth and sixteenth centuries, as well as the additions of the eighteenth century, reflecting centuries of local architectural history.
