The 15th century House, located in Ambert in Puy-de-Dôme, is a remarkable example of medieval civil architecture. Built in the 15th century, it is distinguished by its facades in thick wood, covered with a crepe. The building rises on two floors above a ground floor, with a second level in corbellation supported by curved links forming consoles. These architectural elements, assembled on the facade by openwork arches, illustrate the know-how of the artisans of the period.

The roof of the house features a sandstone supported by chanting consoles, a detail characteristic of the wooden panels constructions of this period. Classified Historic Monument by decree of 24 March 1928 for its facades and roofs, this house bears witness to the importance of medieval built heritage in the region. Its address, Place des Minimes or close to Rue du Château, confirms its anchoring in the historic center of Ambert.
