This house at 6 rue de la Coifferie in Clermont-Ferrand is a typical example of 18th-century civil architecture. Its façade, classified as Historic Monument in 1988, is distinguished by its homogeneity and authenticity, rare in the city. It preserves a storefront, a basket handle door decorated with an engraved key of the date 1739, as well as decorated ironwork and lintels, testimonies of the artisanal know-how of the time.

The building illustrates the urban evolution of Clermont-Ferrand in the Enlightenment century, where bourgeois buildings combined commercial function (ground floor dedicated to shops) and residence.
