Origin and history
Le Manoir d'Héauville is a 16th-century mansion located in the commune of Héauville, in the Manche department, in the Normandy region. The building consists of a main house and a secondary building in square, with chamfered sled windows and canned pilasters. A three-archcade cart and a stone double door topped by a niche complete the architectural ensemble.
The mansion is located near Petit Douet Creek, about 900 metres southeast of Saint-Germain d'Héauville Church. Its facades and roofs, excluding outbuildings, were listed as historical monuments by order of 19 November 1976. This ranking demonstrates its heritage importance in the region.
No information is available on historic owners or significant events related to this mansion. Its architecture and location, however, reflect the style of Renaissance seigneurial residences in Normandy, often associated with agricultural activities or a residential function for influential local families.
