Origin and history

Le Manoir de la Faverie is a building located in the commune of Beaumont-Pied-de-Bœuf, Sarthe. This monument, typical of local buildings, is part of the architectural heritage of the Pays de la Loire region. Although its exact period of construction was not specified, its inscription as historic monuments in 1926 demonstrated its cultural and historical importance.

Manor houses in this region, often linked to rural and seigneurial history, served as residences for wealthy families or local notables. In medieval and modern times, these buildings played a central role in the social and economic organization of the countryside. They were often surrounded by farmland and symbolized the power and prosperity of their owners.

The faverie mansion is probably part of this tradition, although details specific to its history remain little documented in available sources.
