Origin and history

Rumigny Manor House is a building located in the commune of the same name, in the Hauts-de-France region. The available data do not specify its construction period or its detailed history, thus limiting the information to its status as a local monument. Manor houses, in general, played a central role in the social and economic organization of the French countryside.

In Rumigny, as elsewhere, this type of building could be used as a seigneurial residence or as a place of agricultural management, reflecting the hierarchies and dominant activities of the period in rural areas.
