Origin and history

Nandy Castle, located in the municipality of the same name in Seine-et-Marne, is a monument whose facade dates back to the early seventeenth century. This castle, classified as a historic monument in 1968, is a private property. It is distinguished by its architecture and park, which includes an avenue aligned with the main axis of the building. The elements protected by the 1968 classification include facades, roofs, court of honor, park and avenue.

Nandy Castle has a long history related to audiovisual. Since 1962, he has served as a stage for films such as Le Gorille bit the archbishop, followed by Le Bourgeois gendhomme (1968), Le Gendarme on a stroll (1970), and more recently Le Retour du Hero (2018). He also hosted television shoots, notably for the show 4 Weddings for a Honeymoon, where he hosted the final confrontations between participants. In 2025, it is planned as a set for a special show of Household Scenes.

Historically, the castle was associated with Nicolas de L'Hospital, who died there in 1644. Today, the castle is not only a place full of history, but also a site used for receptions, seminars and private events. Its exact location is at 2 Rue de l'Eglise in Nandy, in the Seine-et-Marne department, in the Île-de-France region.
