Origin and history
The Goyard is a religious monument located in Revigny, in the Jura department (region Burgundy-Franche-Comté). Dated from the 3rd quarter of the 16th century, it is distinguished by its historical inscription of 1531, although it was built later. This difference suggests possible confusion or re-use of previous elements. The building is specifically dedicated to Claude Yonard and his family, as evidenced by his inscription.
Ranked Historic Monument by decree of 31 July 1990, the Oratory includes in its protection the Pietà which it houses, stressing its importance both artistic and devotional. Its location at 100 Rue du Tonkin is documented in the Merimée base, although geographical accuracy is considered poor (note 5/10). This is an example of the rural religious heritage of Franche-Comté, marked by private buildings with a family and pious vocation.
Available sources (Monumentum, Merimée data) confirm its protected element status under cadastral reference AC 152. No information is provided on its current accessibility (visits, rentals, etc.) or on any contemporary uses. The absence of precise architectural details in the archives limits the understanding of its stylistic characteristics, typical of late Renaissance oratories in rural areas.
