The Château de Montbourgeau, located in the commune of L'Étoile (Jura), is a building built during the second half of the 18th century. It embodies the aristocratic residential architecture of this period, marked by elegant facades and richly decorated interiors, as evidenced by its three marble fireplaces and canvases painted in the music salon. This includes the facades and roofs of the chapel, the entrance gate of the driveway, two carved dogs adorning the courtyard, as well as interior decorations such as fireplaces and paintings in the living room. These protections highlight the heritage value of decors and exterior design, reflecting the social prestige associated with this type of residence.

The castle is located at 994 Rue Bouillod, 39570 L'Étoile, in the Jura department (region Burgundy-Franche-Comté). Although the sources mention a location accuracy considered "passable" (note 5/10), its location remains identified through GPS coordinates and cadastral references.
