Facades and roofs (cad. 1425p): inscription by decree of 11 October 1929

Origin and history

The Schlutz stable is a medieval building located in the village of Peruges, in the department of Ain. Dating from the 15th century, this monument illustrates the rural architecture of the period, with characteristic facades and roofs. Although little documented, its inscription in 1929 underscores its local heritage importance.

At the end of the Middle Ages, Peruges was an active village, marked by agricultural and craft activities. The stables, like Schlutz, played a central role in economic life, sheltering horses essential for transport and field work. Their preservation offers an overview of the architectural and social practices of this period in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.
